What is it?
Aged Garlic Extract is garlic that has been aged for 20 months then fermented. In a process first presented by German Professor, Dr Eugene Schwell, in the 1940s. He introduced the popular Japanese practice of ageing and fermentation to garlic and found it increased the garlic’s potency beyond its natural levels, as well as removed the compounds that cause its pungent odour on the breath, stomach aches and heart burn. This new extract of garlic was given the name “Aged Garlic Extract” or “AGE” for short.
What is aged garlic for?
It is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals that cause age related cell damage. It can also support normal blood pressure, and support immunity.
What do the capsules contain?
The capsules contain 500mg of Aged Garlic Extract, providing the equivalent of 5 grams of raw garlic. This formulation allows for the potential benefits of garlic in a convenient capsule form.
Are there any potential drug interactions?
Due to our supplement being a more concentrated form with a higher dose, there is a possibility of interactions with things such as, such as blood thinners, anti-platelets, and protease inhibitors. Additionally, please note that our supplement is not intended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
Are there any side effects?
In very rare cases, uncommon side effects such as easy bruising and nosebleeds have been reported. More common side effects may include upset stomach and gas.
